Request a beta read
So, how does this work, anyway?
First, you'll submit your draft and some information about your project to me. I will contact you via email when I receive your manuscript and again when I begin the beta read, at which point I will send you an invoice.
While I read your draft, I will provide marginal comments and fill out a separate beta read worksheet with my impressions, reactions, and suggestions. I will notify you when this is completed. You'll receive an email with both documents attached as soon as I receive your payment.
Afterwards, I will gladly provide clarification on any of my comments through email at no extra cost to you — or, if you prefer, we can arrange a Zoom meeting at a rate of $2/hour USD.
Rules
Before you submit your request, please read the Terms and Conditions and the following rules.
- You may not submit a request if you are a minor (under the age of 18).
- At this time, I do not accept submissions that contain explicit, NSFW content.
- I will never steal, publish, reupload, or otherwise claim your work as my own.
- I can usually complete a beta read within one to three months. You will be notified via email of any delays in the beta reading process.
- If I cannot complete your beta read for any reason, your payment will be refunded in full.
- I reserve the right to refuse a beta read request for any reason. Should this happen, any payment received will be refunded in full.
